Meta Makeover is filming today – Thursday 14th August at 2pm SLT at the SLCN studios in Northpoint – and everyone is welcome.
However, don’t look for the show on your SLCN TV tonight – this show will be broadcast in Saturday at 9.30 am SLT on Saturday 16th August, and then again at 7pm on Monday SLT 18th August.
This week we’re making over a small but rather special home – Catherine Linden’s mainland house where she likes to relax – and to entertain real life journalists, to give them a taste of what Second Life is all about.
It’s a lovely little house – designed by Barnesworth Anubis. But Catherine’s very busy and hasn’t had time to furnish it fully. So we agreed to give her a Meta Makeover – and for our designer, we asked Kittie Munro, who loves Eastern and Oriental Designs (as you can see in her store, Kitstar Designs).
Join us in the studio today to find out what she did!
The show starts at 2pm SLT, but you should be there by 1.45pm to make sure of getting a seat.
We’ll see you there!
Would you like your home to feature on Meta Makeover? Send an email to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with three or four pictures of your home attached, and stating your reasons why you would like a makeover. Every two weeks, we shall select one lucky owner from our postbag and invite them to be our next Meta Makeover!
“There’s something about the fifties style of Katherine that reminds me of the films featuring Japan I watched when I was young,” says Saffia. I was always fascinated by the sense of modernity against the bakground of an ancient culture.
“Katherine is one of Ivalde’s earliest dresses, so I was delighted to also be wearing one of her newest on the programme too! That’s Rosemarie, and it’s lovely and fresh for summer – with a wicked little bow too!”
“Dorothea, though, is a lovely and stylish Victorian gown. It’s actually been in my wardrobe for a while; I love the formality of it, and the way the coat sweeps back to reveal the skirt beneath.
“As for the studio outfit, once I saw the new Lill dress, I thought it would be perfect. Crisp and smart, with a stylish top (I love the prim flare at the waist) and a crisp white skirt, perfect for being business-like in the studio and cool at the same time!”
