The latest episode of Meta Makeover is now available on the Meta Makeover website at SLCN – and can also be downloaded free of charge from iTunes.
In this week’s show we made over a skybox for Cora Heslop, who has a rather unusual avatar – a rather beautiful white cat.
Cora explains some of the special requirements of a quadruped with a sense of style and fun, and our designer, Pamela Galli of La Galleria, rose brilliantly to the challenge – as you’ll be able to see!
And Cora was very hospitable to her guests too; you’ll be able to see the rather unusual lunch that she laid on for us all!
What was Saffia wearing on the show?
For this show, Saffia wore a new design from Ivalde – Margaretha. Margaretha is a two-piece ensemble whose softly-textured, v-necked top has gentle folds across the bust, a fitted torso and a sculpted peplum bottom and a jeweled chain clasp at the throat. The fitted pencil skirt features slimming seams along the outer leg and a delicate ruffled hem.
“I love this thirties look with the peplum at the waist,” Saffia says, “and the blouse is a gorgeous silky material! I also like the way the skirt is saved from being ultra plain by the little ruffle. I have all the colours too – expect to see more!”
The name of the outfit made Saffia smile. “I don’t know if anyone other than me picked up a link between Margarethea and Norway and a rather famous science fiction series!” she says.
Well, do you know the connection?
