Ask Saffia this, and she smiles.
“Nothing you’ll be able to buyin Ivalde – at least, not in the material I chose!” she says.
The reason for this is that Saffia is wearing one of Ivalde’s special gifts.
Neferia Abel, the owner and designer of Ivalde, is always very generous when it comes to high days and holidays. For example, over the Valentine weekend, she offered 50% off all her pink and red dresses on the main floor of Ivalde, and last Halloween, there was a special deal on black dresses. Last Easter, there were Easter eggs containing some lovely free outfits to find all over the store and sim – many of them popular outfits in new colour schemes. And similarly, in the 24 days leading up to Christmas, Ivalde offered her “Advent Gifts” – of which this Silja dress was one.
“I also have a special Día de los Muertos dress in this style too,” says Saffia. “But it didn’t seem right to be wearing a dress with little skeletons dancing all over it for lovely Waikiti – or to dance Maar’s new tango!”
Although the texture that Saffia is wearing on the show isn’t generally available, the Silja dress itself is – in a range of pretty patchworks styles – at the Ivalde store.
“It’s upstairs, in the ‘Casuals’ department,” says Saffia. “You can’t miss it – and you won’t want to, either!”
