For exploring Zasa Rossini’s beautiful new sim of Dans les Montagnes and the village of Petit Chou, Saffia tried a different approach.
“The village is gorgeous,” she says, “Zasa said on the show that she had been inspired by bodice rippers and Disney’s French countryside in Beauty and the Beast in equal measure – and so I wanted something that would reflect that – not full on Victorian, but definitely not modern. I was looking for something more Edwardian (the turn of the twentieth century) and when Neferia showed me her new Maud range for Ivalde, I just fell on it with a cry of, ‘That’s it!’ It was perfect!”
As the Ivalde website says, Maud is an ode to Edwardian elegance!
“I particularly love the bodice,” says Saffia. “The lace of the collar, and the sleeves, is quite beautiful – and yet it also captures the elegant formality of the age. ”
