The Fours Winds, that is – and Four Directions too, for those are some of the elements that make up the region belonging to Koshari Mahana, one of the most talented and diverse builders in Second Life.
Koshari is best known for her Victorian buildings, perhaps, and we will certainly be taking a look at those – after all, one of our hosts, Elrik Merlin, does have a Koshari Mahana home of his own!
But Koshari has a wealth of styles, almost unique in Second Life, ranging from Ancient Greek, Mayan and Native American, through Medieval and Fantasy – and we will be looking at some of those too! Saffia will be diving beneath the waves to explore Koshari’s beautiful mermaid builds, and both of them will be joining Koshari to look at some of her African and Turkish designs – ranging from Moroccan tents to a Kenyan pavilion set beside a fascinating watering hole.
You can see the show live by joining our viewing party at the Designing Worlds studios on Northpoint. As always, there’s a special gift for everyone who comes to the studio – and today it is something really very special from Koshari – a voucher that will allow you to purchase for free one of her fantastic hot air balloons!
As usual, there’s an exhibition to see in our Hall outside the studio – showing the work of designers who have featured in the series. And at the moment, you can still explore the remarkable Middle Passage Experience (as seen in our show on July 14th) outside the studio to the west.
The show starts at 2pm SLT, but you should be in our Northpoint studios by 1.30pm to make sure of getting a seat.
