In the wake of the Linden Lab lay-offs of the past week (with more threatened to come), and the announcement of a major change of direction for the Second Life grid, Designing Worlds will be asking this week “Where Next for Second Life?”
Join us in our Northpoint studio at 2pm SLT as we invite a panel of Second Live residents and commentators to express their view of recent events – and to share with us how they see the future. And we’ll be invited our audience to ask questions and make their points too.
Saffia and Elrik will be joined by:
Melody Regent, owner of Regent Estates
Prospero Frobozz, aka Dr Rob Knop, astrophysicist, engineer and grid commentator
Ignatius Onomatopoeia, aka Dr. Joe Essid of the Writing Center at the University of Richmond, where he teaches in the Departments of English as well as Rhetoric & Communication
Mal Burns, virtual worlds news aggregator, journalist and fellow broadcaster
Phox ModularSystems, Emerald third-party Viewer developer.
And, of course, you, the audience.
The show starts at 2pm SLT, but you should be in our Northpoint studios by 1.30pm to make sure of getting a seat.
And make sure that you don’t miss the displays at our studio either – the StoryQuest Display on the beach outside our studio and the displays from Heritage Key and Garden of Dreams on display in our Exhibition Hall!
Or you tune in at 2pm SLT on Tuesday for the live show – where you can now chat with other audience members and even some of the participants during the show – or catch it later in the week on our shows page on the Treet.tv web site.
