Isle of Wyrms: Celebrating the Steam Dragon at the recent Fall Festival

Join us as we meet dragons, gryphons, hedgehogs and others – and discover more about the fascinating world of the Isle of Wyrms with the help of Orlith Nightfire (Elder Guardian), Skylarian Isachenko (Elder Artisan) and Talarus Luan (Celestial Dragon).

And to get you in the mood, here’s a little taster of what you can expect. They told us that the gryphons were great acrobatic flyers … and they took us for a hair-raising flight over the Isle of Wyrms to prove it!

Today, we will be having our viewing party in the cafe at the Prim Perfect headquarters – a fantastic build by Dijodi DuBratt.  Do come and join us there at 2pm!

Or – if you can’t attend in person – tune in at 2pm SLT on Monday for the live show on http://treet.tv/live – where you can now chat with other audience members and even some of the participants during the show – or catch it later in the week on our shows page on the Treet.tv web site at http://treet.tv/shows/designingworlds.

Designing Worlds starts its new season today, Monday 19th September, at 2pm SLT, with a beautiful and fun show as we re-visit some old friends and find out what they’ve been up to!

One of the final shows in the last season came from Lorin one and Judith Newall’s Alien Isles which was, sadly, closing.  But Lorin and Judi have not been idle since then in different fioelds – and Lorin shows off some of the projects that he has been working on – including the most amazing set of chess piece bumper cars and a huge xylophone that we were able to dance across!

The Designing Worlds studio - when new

The Designing Worlds studio - when new

After three exciting years on Northpoint, Designing Worlds (one of treet.tv’s leading shows) is moving their studios to an exciting new location.  But first we’ll be having a spectacular takedown party, today Saturday 3rd September from 2 – 5pm SLT!

Starting at 2pm, the fabulous multi-national group DRUM! will bring their music and amazing display to get the party off with a bang – well, rather a lot of them!

DRUM!

DRUM!

Then Elrik Merlin (co-presenter of Desiging Worlds) will take over at 3pm, with a fabulous hour of classical rock, presented in his inimitable style.

And finally, at 4pm, Funkyfreddy Republic will bring his awesome style of music to the stage in an amazing live performance. Freddy’s songwriting, slide guitar and unique ambient guitar stylings have dazzled audiences around the United States and Canada. His voice and songwriting remind one of artists such as Neil Young, Elliott Smith, Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd. Fred is also well known as the guitarist for Neighbors + Allies; one of David Bowie’s favorite NY bands.

We’ll certainly be going out in style!  We’ll see you there!

But also watch this blog – we’re now filming shows for our new season, starting in late September … and we’ll also have news of our news studio – which comes with increased seating capacity in a gorgeous new location. So – as we like to say on the show – don’t go away!
