Join us at 2pm SLT today, Monday 1st February, for the new episode of Designing Worlds at our studio in Garden of Dreams when we will be visiting a rather special house that is new on the grid.
Eliza Wierwight of Patron is a leading Second Life artist and creator – and she has also made some of the most beautiful homes on the Second Life grid. She doesn’t release new homes very often, so the launch of a new one is always a cause for celebration. And now, with the Banyan House, a build that has been two years in the making, she has excelled herself.
It’s huge, with a whole complex of rooms and levels and pools (Eliza always includes awesome water features). It features experience tools used in a new and fascinating way – which I think might become a standard in home design. And it’s not only sumptuously furnished (the bathroom! the white bedroom! the lounge!), but Eliza has included many little details and art works that makes it a very personal creation that she’s sharing with those who purchase the house.
When a house like the is launched, representing a high level of achievement and a lot of work, we love the opportunity to explore in depth (as we did with Dutchie‘s Utrecht Villa back in September 2014). And Eliza gives us a fabulous tour – as you’ll see.
Or – if you can’t attend in person – tune in to the web at 2pm SLT on Monday for a showing on SLartist or on Treet – or catch it later in the week on our shows page on the Treet.tv web site at http://treet.tv/shows/designingworlds, on the SLArtist.com channel, the Aview TV Designing Worlds channel – or on the Designing Worlds blog.
