The latest episode of Designing Worlds – where we visit some of the regions of the LEA (Linden Endowment for the Arts) – is now on the web!
We take the opportunity to explore the work that some of the artists have produced as a result of the six month grant of an entire region.
And there’s real diversity on offer, from the beautiful Monochrome installation created by Giovanna Cerise, to the fascinating watercolors that you can wander in, created by Ceakay Ballyhoo. Then we look at another form of art as we explore the region designed for dance performances by Royal Shippe and Diiar Vader, before we slip through the fun of Snarl by Kanashimi Mac, and finally visit an installation that blends poetry and art in Invictus, created by Storm Septimus.
The range we see is awesome, and we also be talk about the next round of grants for LEA regions. You too could have an opportunity to follow your dream of creating a region wide installation (and probably with the full 30,000 li/prim limit we are promised soon). To do this, go to: http://lea-sl.org/form/lea-air-land-grant-application-round-twelve and complete the form.
And, because we are sure you’d like to vist the locations mentioned in the show – here they are:
