Today on Designing Worlds we’re looking back to 2012, with a look back to one of our special 10th Anniversary shows from 2018.

This year the Lab have played a major role in creating SL16B, but in 2012, they stepped back, and the residents took control for the first time.

In this special show, we’re also looking back at some of the fabulous places and events in Second Life – and we’ll be re-visiting one of the other Prim Perfect projects that started in 2012 – The Blackened Mirror. And there’s also the chance to see part of one of the much-loved Babbage Christmas Tales …

Plus there’s an overwiew of the year in Second Life as Saffia talks with our resident historian, Marianne McCann.  And Wildstar Beaumont shows more photos from his archives!

And, rather than a Watch Party in the studio this week, you’re all invited to the Auditorium on SL16B, where Saffia will be speaking live to Patch Linden as one of our exciting programme of talks!

In this episode of Designing Worlds, we paid our final visit to Fantasy Faire 2019.

We talked to the Faire organiser David Abbot, in charge of operations, and he explains what a mammoth task it is keeping something like the Faire running, and how the community comes together to help.

We also visited Genesia and talked to its creators, Haveit Neox and Lilia Artis, about the amazing worlds they created above and below the waves – and the dance performances they staged there.

And finally, we explored the stunningly beautiful Midas, created by Alia Baroque.
