As we promised when we showed the first of these two linked shows a few weeks ago, we’re returning to one of our history epsiodes where – in celebration of our tenth anniversary – we ran a series of shows looking at the events of all the intervening years. In this second episode in the series, we look back to 2008 – 2009, right back to when Designing Worlds’ emerged from its beginnings as MetaMakeover, a show on SLCN.

You can see the show on the Designing Worlds Vimeo channel at: http://bit.ly/2p2zHzF and on the Designing Worlds channel at SLArtist at: http://bit.ly/2MzoIqv. And you can join the special Watch Party (also at 2pm SLT) in our studio on Garden of Dreams where you suspect there’ll be some chat about the good old days. Why not come as you were?

In today’s episode we revisit the early years, and once more we’re helped by Marianne McCann, Second Life historian, who shares with us some of the features that arrived and frictions that enraged the residents of Second Life in those years, and by Wildstar Beaumont who has ransacked his photo archive for us!

And you’ll have a chance to see extracts from those early shows, including our very first visit to the Home and Garden Expo, a glimpse of the 2008 Relay for Life builds, our very first Babbage show … and much more!

And we end with one of the most moving regions we have ever visited … and it’s still there!
