In this episode of Designing Worlds, we pay our final visit to Fantasy Faire 2019.

The show goes live on Monday 17th June at 2pm SLT on the Designing Worlds Vimeo channel, on the Designing Worlds channel at SLArtist – and you can join the special Watch Party (also at 2pm SLT) in our studio on Garden of Dreams.

We talk to the Faire organiser David Abbot, in charge of operations, and he explains what a mammoth task it is keeping something like the Faire running, and how the community comes together to help.

We also visit Genesia and talk to its creators, Haveit Neox and Lilia Artis, about the amazing worlds they created above and below the waves – and the dance performances they staged there.

And finally, we explore the stunningly beautiful Midas, created by Alia Baroque.

New Linden Homes on Bellisseria

In this episode of Designing Worlds we visited the new continent of Bellisseria, and found out all about the new Linden Homes with the aid of Patch Linden and a gathering of Moles!

DW398 – New Linden Homes from Richard Elen on Vimeo.

In the first part, we take a look at the original Linden Homes, and talk about some of the problems they encountered – the cramped feel of the regions, the lack of surrounding space for each home, and the lack of a community feel.

Then we move to the first two types of Linden Home released – the traditional homes and the houseboats. We talk with Patch Linden about the ideas that have gone into their construction, and the way that community spaces have been developed, centering around activities and places to visit, within the community itself.

New Linden Homes on Bellisseria

And, of course, we take time to explore some of the possibilities you have with the homes, easily changing the styles and redecorating at will!
