Join us at 2pm SLT today, Monday 14th November, for the new episode of Designing Worlds at our studio in Garden of Dreams – where we will be visiting some of the regions of the LEA (Linden Endowment for the Arts) and exploring the work that some of the artists have produced as a result of the six month grant of an entire region.

And there’s real diversity on offer, from the beautiful Monochrome installation created by Giovanna Cerise, to the fascinating watercolors that you can wander in, created by Ceakay Ballyhoo. Then we’ll be looking at another form of art as we explore the region designed for dance performances by Royal Shippe and Diiar Vader, before exploring the fun of Snarl by Kanashimi Mac, and finally exploring an installation that blends poetry and art in Invictus, created by Storm Septimus.

The range we’ll be seeing is awesome, and we’ll also be talking about the next round of grants for LEA regions. You too could have an opportunity to follow your dream of creating a region wide installation (and probably with the full 30,000 li/prim limit we are promised soon). To do this, go to: http://lea-sl.org/form/lea-air-land-grant-application-round-twelve and complete the form.

This is going to be a beautiful and intriguing show, so do join us to watch it at 2pm SLT.

The new episode of the new season of Designing Worlds –as we explore three different stunning locations – each with a very individual take on Halloween – is now on the web – and now we’ll tell you how to get there!

Our first destination offers a collection of beautifully constructed Halloween locations, followed by the Fright Ride to end all Fright Rides! Yes, it’s the special Linden Halloween experience, accessed from the Portal Parks and created by Patch Linden and those amazingly clever Moles – some of whom pop up on the show!

You can find the Linden Halloween Experience (with lots of free gifts) here.

Then our second location is a beautifully dark re-interpretation of a classic children’s tale – Neverland. It’s been created by Tymus Tenk and Truck Meredith for their gorgeous Calas Galadhon estate, and Ty says it’s his first venture into major fantasy. It’s gorgeous, with little sinister touches, located over two regions. Do go and explore – but perhaps you don’t want to enquire too deeply into what happened to the Lost Boys!

Start your exploration with a stunning boat ride here – although you’ll need to carry on on foot is you want to reach the final destination – the ballroom!

And our third and final location is a stunning region that draws on a wide variety of horror tropes – can you spot them all?

It’s the Ironwood Hills – a a beautifully spooky region that is available for exploration throughout the year, but currently with some special Halloween touches.
