The latest episode of Designing Worlds –the last show of the season and a retrospective of some of our favourite episodes over the last few seasons – is now on the web.

We recorded this show at the beautiful Designing Worlds cafe at the Second Life 13th Birthday Celebrations (created for us by Eliza Wierwight), and our team of Aisling Sinclair, Wildstar Beaumont and, of course, Saffia and Elrik, chose some of their personal highlights.

And we have a special slideshow of images from a very special event, chosen by Wildstar Beaumont, and never shown before!

The latest episode of Designing Worlds – the second of our visits to Fantasy Faire (recorded before the Faire closed on May 1st) – is now on the web.

In this show, we talk to Zander Greene, one of the co-founders of the Faire and also now one of the people behind the fabulous Fantasy Faire Radio, Sweetgwendoline Bailey and Eldowyn Inshan, who designed Twilight Illusion – one of the fourteen amazing regions, Aelva, who organised (and participated in!) the amazing Festival of Dance and Particles, Aisling Sinclair, who produced this year’s much-loved Quest, and Stevie Basevi and other roleplayers who joined us from the mud of Echtra to tell us about roleplay at the Faire.

And there is an extract from the wonderful production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which was presented at Fantasy Faire by the Faireland Players.

Ironically, we filmed this show in the quiet days before the Faire opened … so no-one was quite sure that it would be the fantastic success that it was, raising over L$7,714,000 (US$30,875) and producing some amazing stories – many of which you can read on the website.  In fact, the whole website is filled with the story of Fantasy Faire, and well worth a look!

The latest episode of Designing Worlds – visiting the beautiful Cerridwen’s Cauldron, designed by Elicio Ember – is now on the web.

Cerridwen’s Cauldron holds a beautiful and fascinating store high in the sky, where you can purchase Elisio’s wonderful creations, but in this show, our focus is on the ground level.

Elicio’s creation of a landscape that showcases his products (and his skills!) was always beautful, but now, as a result of a two year project, the whole of the island has been redesigned.  We explore the different levels and admire his work with glass, with mesh and with materials.

There’s elements to explore above and below the waves, and reaching up into the sky too. And you’ll be able to see the Cauldron at Fantasy Faire this year too where – as the Otherworld region, it plays host to the Literary Festival!
