In the this episode of Designing Worlds, we paid the first of two visits to the beautiful campsites and design regions that were created for the Relay Weekend that was the culmination of the 2021 Relay for Life of Second Life.

We begin with an interview with Stingray Raymaker, Director of the American Cancer Society in Second Life, and the Ambassador to the American Cancer Society, the charity behind Relay for Life. At the Home and Garden Expo, earlier in the year, we talked about his hopes for the 2021 season – and now he tells us whether those hopes were fulfilled!

Then we talk to several teams as we explore their campsites – the One Life team,Grove Country Club Estates, and Dragon’s Nightfall, as well as the beautiful (and unexpectedly colorful) designer region created by Fiona Fei, as well as Latte Stark’s Bixley’s Turnkey Area (and she tells us what a Turnkey Area is!).

Designing Worlds studio

Designing Worlds studio

Join us at 2pm SLT today, Monday 17th June, for the new episode of Designing Worlds at our studio in Garden of Dreams, as we celebrate the fact that we have recorded our 200th episode!

Actually, this episode is out 202nd – but we wanted to show the Home and Garden Expo episodes as close as possible to when they happened!

But this week we have a look back into our history – rather appropriate in terms of the theme of the Second Life Tenth Birthday Community Celebration – Looking Forward, Looking Back (and you be seeing the Birthday Celebrations on a show coming shortly!).

World War 1 Poetry Show

World War 1 Poetry Show – one we’ll be looking back to

We’ll be showing clips from shows No.1 – and some very recent shows too!  We’ll be showing clips from shows we have loved, or that have made us laugh – we’ll even be explaining just how we pulled off a tricky stunt shot in New Babbage!  We even have a very special and beautiful new film to share – based on this year’s Fantasy Faire.

We think you’ll enjoy seeing it as much as we did putting it together – so do come and watch it at 2pm!

Or – if you can’t attend in person – tune in at 2pm SLT on Monday for the live show on http://treet.tv/live – or catch it later in the week on our shows page on the Treet.tv web site at http://treet.tv/shows/designingworlds – our very own version of the iPlayer!
