The latest episode of Designing Worlds, exploring one of the most lovely locations in Second Life – where we take a look back at some of the shows we have filmed over the past year, and also explore the beautiful Fporbidden City – is now on the web. Indeed, this show is a double retrospective, as we believe it’s the last show ever filmed in the beautiful Forgotten City which closed recently.
We feature some fascinating clips from shows – including explorations of the mainland by various forms of transport – including podcars! And there are extracts from interviews with Draxtor Depres and Ebbe Linden, and much more.
But the show also features different areas of the Forgotten City. Created by Mandy Marseille and Jenne Dibou, the Forgotten City was a magnificent, gently decaying ancient cityscape where automata still sought to serve the long-gone human inhabitants as they pursued their own clockwork lives.
Sadly, when we filmed there, we knew it would be closing within a very few days (in fact, it was touch and go whether we would be able to film there at all). And it has now vanished from the map entirely.
However, you will soon be able to visit a quarter-sim “Ruins of the Forgotten City” that the creators, Mandy Marseille and Jenne Dibou, will be opening on the mainland.
